The 16 Stages of Insight Knowledge Overcome hinderances and uncover your innovative ability with insight mediation. The Buddhavipassana Meditation Centre offers retreats in Insight Meditation based on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness as taught by Ajahn Tong Sirimangalo in the Northern Thai Theravada Buddhist tradition.

 
The method explores the 16 stages of insight knowledge as described in the Therevada Buddhist commentaries leading to progress upon the Noble 8 Fold Path, the cessation of suffering, the arising of wisdom and unconditional happiness. The benefits of this meditation practice are stress reduction, overcoming grief and loss, overcoming trauma, improved creativity, improved inter-personal relationship skills, improved priority setting and strategic visioning.   A basic meditation course is 15 or 21 days in length. One-day, weekend retreats and 10-day retreats as well as 2-hour workshops are also available. The fee is actual costs incurred by the centre (currently $35-50 per day) plus your donation to the teachers based on your assessment of the value of the practice to you.
